This Week in Soccer Cards – 12/16/2022

As the 2022 FIFA World Cup has reached the semi-final stage in Qatar, Argentina proves its power over Croatia as it ended the game with 3-0 goals. Now that we are very near to the finals, we are so thrilled to give an update on the world of soccer cards in the last week.

I. Major Recent Sales

With the recent win of Argentina with one win from the crowning glory by Messi in the semi-finals against Croatia, it’s no question why Messi is on top of our list having 8 entries for this week’s major sales. As for the vintage, 4 entries have made it into the list, 3 from the legend Pele and 1 from Maradona.

2022-23 Donruss Soccer FIFA Cards

Featuring 175 cards, the base set for 2022-23 Donruss Soccer offers paper and Optic editions. This set includes 30 cards per pack and 12 packs per box. The expected release date is on January 25, 2023.

2022 Topps Renaissance MLS Major League Soccer Cards

This set features an all-autograph product and guarantees encased signature cards numbered 20 copies or less. According to Topps “this inaugural release of 2022 Topps Renaissance MLS captures the imagination and excitement of this new class of talent sweeping the league.” This set includes 2 cards per pack and 1 pack per box and is set to release in December this year.
